Advertisements or material submitted by suppliers of services is posted to these Internet pages at the sole risk of the supplier of the information and Jersey Camping and Caravanning Club can accept no responsibility whatsoever for any errors or omissions in the supplied material. Jersey Camping and Caravanning Club reserves the right to refuse to post material to this site if, in its reasonable opinion, such material is misleading in any way or is likely to cause offence to an individual or group of individuals.

Privacy Policy.

PRIVACY POLICY. Jersey Camping and Caravanning Club will not use information supplied by any person other than for the purpose stated when that information is collected or given. Except for the purpose of fulfilling an order or contract, any personal information given to Jersey Camping and Caravanning Club in the course of an enquiry or the conduct of business or contract will not be passed to any third party for any other purpose unless expressly authorised by the supplier of that information or when such information is required to be divulged under statute.

Small Ads Terms and Conditions.

1. Jersey Camping and Caravanning Club will accept items to be posted on the "Small Ads" page of this web site from any person with a bona fide interest in camping, caravanning or motorhoming. Items from commercial undertakings however, will not be accepted.

2. Only item(s) that are the property of the person offering such item(s) shall be accepted for posting to the "Small Ads" page. All items (for sale or wanted) will be posted for a maximum period of two months at the end of which period the item(s) will be removed from the "Small Ads" page of the web site. A person posting items on the web site must inform the club if the item has been sold or obtained before the expirey of the two month period.

3. If, at the end of the initial two month period, the needs of the advertiser remain unmet, it shall be possible, at the request of the advertiser, to renew the advertisement, for a further period of two months.

Jersey Camping and Caravanning Club Rules

Jersey Camping and Caravanning Club Rules (last revised April 2014).

1. The aims and objectives of the Club are to bring together those interested in camping and caravanning for the mutual advantage of all.

2. Membership

  1. There shall be two forms of membership - individual and family membership. Family membership covers husband and wife and children under the age of 18.
  2. NO person who is a member of any other local camping and caravanning club shall hold office in The Jersey Camping and Caravanning Club.
  3. In special circumstances the committee may recommend to the Annual General Meeting the names of persons considered suitable for the privilege of Honorary Membership, such membership may be approved by the Annual General Meeting.
  4. The Committee may expel from the Club any member who brings the Club into disrepute: such member shall have the right to present his / her case before the full committee.
  5. All members above the age of 18 shall be entitled to vote at all meetings and to hold office in the Club.
  6. All members, including children, shall be entitled to participate in the activities of the Club.
  7. Persons wishing to join the Club shall complete an application, in the form prescribed by the Committee, which application shall be proposed by a member of at least one years standing. Completed application forms shall be submitted to the Secretary / Treasurer for consideration by the Committee which may approve or reject an application. Potential members may attend two meetings before applying to join the Club.
  8. On first admission to the Club, new members shall pay an entry fee as fixed by the Annual General Meeting.
  9. New members joining the Club after 30th June are liable to pay the joining fee plus half the Annual Subscription.

3. Subscription

  1. The financial year shall begin on the lst January of each year when subscriptions are due.
  2. The amount of the subscription, and entry fee for the following financial year shall be determined at the Annual General Meeting.
  3. Any member whose subscription remains unpaid by the Annual General Meeting shall automatically cease to be a member of the Club, but renewal of such membership after the Annual General Meeting may be subject to payment of a new entry fee at the discretion of the Committee.
  4. Any non member wishing to attend an overseas rally will be charged a fee to become an associated member for the duration of the event for insurance purposes.

4. Officers and Committee

  1. The Officers of the Club shall be the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, News Letter Editor and Rally Organiser. The Committee shall consist of the Officers and up to 5 committee members.
  2. The Committee shall be responsible for the management of the Club, and a quorum at any committee meeting shall consist of 5 members.
  3. The Committee may co-opt additional members and appoint sub committees for specialised tasks.
  4. A President who has held office for three consecutive years shall stand down and not be eligible for election again until one year has elapsed.
  5. As from the AGM of 2014, no person may be elected onto the Committee if a Spouse or Partner of that member is already serving on the Committee as an Officer of the Club or as a Committee member.

5. Annual General Meeting and Special General Meetings

  1. The Annual General Meeting shall be held in the month of April.
  2. The Officers, Committee and the two Auditors shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting.
  3. The Secretary shall keep minutes of every Annual General Meeting and Special General Meeting.
  4. At every Annual General Meeting the Treasurer shall produce audited accounts of the club's finances for the preceding year.
  5. Either at the instigation of the Committee itself, or on a written requisition signed by 15 members, stating the purpose of that meeting, the Committee shall convene a Special General Meeting to be held within one month of receipt of the requisition.
  6. Notice of such meeting containing full particulars of its purpose shall be circulated to all members at least 14 days before the date of the meeting. No business other than that of which notice has been given shall be conducted at the meeting.
  7. Any change of the rules shall be subject of a general meeting.

6. Dissolution of Club funds

  1. Dissolution of the Club shall be by decision of a Special General Meeting convened for that purpose.
  2. Upon dissolution and after all liabilities have been discharged, any remaining funds shall be donated to such charity or charities approved by the meeting.

7. Administration of Club Funds

  1. The funds of the club shall be paid into a Bank as designated by the committee to the credit of the Club's account or accounts. A proportion of the Club's funds may be invested in an interest bearing account.
  2. Funds may be drawn from the Club's accounts, on the signatures of any two of the President, Vice President or Treasurer.
  3. Details of any proposed extraordinary expenditure must be placed on the agenda of a General Meeting, the agenda of which shall be in the hands of members at least 7 days before such meeting.

8. Miscellaneous

  1. It is requested that if at any time a member wishes to make a complaint or to discuss any matter, they do so in writing to the committee when the matter is to be taken up officially.
  2. Members are expected to observe the regulations laid down by the Management of any site on which they are camping, especially when using Club membership to obtain options, privileges or discounts, or when attending events organised by the Club.
